SAVE LIVES!!!
Dear Friends, family, & blog world,
I will be joining thousands of people nationwide to walk in AFSP's Los Angeles Community Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
In 2002 I lost my father Nick to suicide 4 days before Christmas. It was one of the most excruciating times of my life and it forever changed me as a person. Even at 16 I knew that something just wasn't right. My father was diagnosed posthumously with depression and Bipolar disorder. With the help of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, I have been able to educate myself on not only mental illness but also how to cope with losing someone to mental illness.
This organization has not only brought closure and hope to survivor families, but it has saved thousands of lives every day using research, education, outreach, and of course the Life Line.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 36,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater.
I hope you will consider supporting my participation in this event. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please click the link below and then the "Support This Participant" button on the page.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!!
